FAQ's
How do I book?
Pop me a message on the contact form below and add your number I will give you a call to arrange a suitable time, location and date
Does Reflexology tickle?
Not at all, Reflexology is a very different experience to being tickled. I use firmer, more definite touch when applying pressure to the feet...not one person has jumped out of the chair yet!
What is Reflexology?
Reflexology is a therapeutic practice that involves applying pressure to specific points on the feet, hands, or ears. These points correspond to different organs and systems in the body, with the goal of promoting balance and healing.
Does Reflexology hurt?
My treatment's certainly do not hurt, I tailor each treatment to the individual and learnt many years ago firm pressure is not always the best way to help heal the body.
What happen's in a Reflexology treatment?
After booking, you will be emailed information to get to the clinic at Larchwood Studio. You will be asked to remove your shoes on entry and then invited to lay in the Reflexology reclining chair. At your first treatment you will be asked some questiions about your health and what you like from the Reflexology. Then you will recieve a full Reflexology treatment on your feet or your face (depending on what you have chosen) or both! I will use oil on your feet, apply various pressure on the feet or face. I will also verbally guide you into a relaxation to help you deeply rest so you feel rejuvenated at the end. Bespoke after care advice will be given to you at the end and a drink of water.
Is Reflexology suitable for me?
I treat all ages from birth to end of life. I specialise in women's health, but still do treat a wide variety of people. There are some exceptions to who Reflexology can help and I would advise getting in touch below to find out more. Please note: Reflexology should not be used as an alternative to seeking medical advice.
Do I have to book a package?
By all means come for one treatment, I like to work with people to make a difference so I recommend the 4 treatment package if you are wanting help with a specific condition.
Feet or Face?
Feet are well known in traditional Reflexology and I find the feet much more productive when working on specific conditions. Facial Reflexology also supports your health in a positive way, and can work on the lymph drainage in the face at the same time which some say can make you look younger! Either way they are both deeply nourishing and relaxing.
How will I feel after a treatment?
Deeply relaxed and more 'like you'. Some people feel tired for a few hours after a treatment others are energised, it really does depend on the treatment you have recieved and your response. After care advice is ALWAYS given at your treatment because it is very individual. I pride myself in educating you about your body so you can understand what's happening (this is the somatic part of the work).
Does Reflexology work?
After 20 + years of working as a Reflexologist I have seen many lives changed, including my own and my mum's (this is why I trained in this therapy) to be confident to say Reflexology can have a positive effect on you health especially for sleep, stress reduction and much more. NO reflexologist diagnoses or cure 's. It is a support to your health and the only way to find out is to try it out.
Please note: Reflexology should not be used as an alternative to seeking medical advice.
